Our programmes depend on volunteers; the more we have the greater our reach. The iMatter Internship Programme is one way we are attempting to strengthen our volunteer base whilst simultaneously addressing the unemployment challenges faced by the youth in the communities we serve.

We have partnered with Action Volunteers Africa (AVA) to create an internship programme which gives unemployed, matriculated youth an opportunity to gain valuable working experience in our Academic Portfolio Programmes and in the schools we serve. On behalf of LMF, AVA vets and trains interns from areas surrounding Westlake, Retreat and Capricorn in Cape Town, and our interns receive a monthly stipend. The iMatters Internship Programme provides valuable work experience for unemployed youth whilst increasing the impact of our academic programmes.
